Dream characters tell you more about a person’s inner life than any other element of a dream. These “people” are aspects of our mind, body, and spirit given form and dropped into our dreams to interact with. They are living figures of the psyche.
I’d like to introduce you to my way of interpreting and analyzing dream characters in a webinar I’m hosting at Owls School of Dreaming.

I will give a presentation and leave time at the end for your comments and questions.

My approach to dream characters
Symbolism and story — my dual approach to the dream interpretation process focuses on both. Dream characters are walking, talking symbols. They may look like people, even like people you know, but don’t be fooled by appearances, they are still treated as symbols for the purpose of interpretation. Story is the other half of the equation. All dream symbols, including characters used as symbols, are presented in the context of a story or narrative. You need a thorough understanding of both dream symbolism and story structure to interpret dream like I do.
Dream characters are a special type of symbol because in many cases they are personifications of living aspects of your mind, body, spirit, and beyond. And characters don’t just take up space, they are in your dreams for you to interact with. Your interactions with them say A LOT about your inner relationship with yourself. This is why you can learn so much about your inner life from your dream characters.
My online course immerses students into the study of dream characters, including one-of-a-kind teachings about their nature and psychological make-up. It’s the most in-depth course offered at Owls School of Dreaming. I’ll drop a link below, then give you more learning resources.
My unique approach to dream characters includes analyzing the roles they play. There’s a “movie director” behind the scenes creating your dreams that casts characters specifically for the roles they play. This insight helps you to understand the roles you play as a character in your dreams, too. That lesson is available below.
I hope to see you at the webinar on August 17th!
